Vijayawada woman dies near Tiruchanoor

Tirupati: A 28-year-old woman from Vijayawada died after collapsing near the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanoor on Wednesday. The woman was identified as Krishnaveni, a resident of Bhavanipuram in Vijayawada. She had come to the temple with her family members for the darshan of Goddess Padmavathi.According to TTD vigilance officials, a group of devotees from Vijayawada had come to the temple for darshan. Krishnaveni, who was part of the group, remained outside the temple as she was feeling unwell. While her family members were standing in the queue for darshan, she suddenly collapsed near the temple premises.After being informed, her family members rushed her to a private hospital in Tirupati. However, doctors declared her dead on arrival. The body was later shifted to the SVR Ruia government general hospital for post-mortem and other formalities.The exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed. Doctors are examining whether she died due to a heart attack or a heat-related illness. Tiruchanoor police registered a case based on a complaint lodged by her husband and have taken up further investigation.
