Visakhapatnam: The Anakapalle district police arrested three people for their involvement in ganja transportation. The police also seized 23 kgs of dry cannabis, a car and three mobile phones from them.The arrested have been identified as auto-rickshaw driver B Srinu, a native of Allipuram in Vizag, B Ramana Murthy and T Ganesh Kumar.The Narsipatam rural police said Srinu decided to take the crime route for easy money as he claimed that his income through an autorickshaw was low. He used to procure the weed from Odisha and sell it to Vizag for easy money.Recently, Srinu paid some amount to Teku Srinu, a native of Chitrakonda locality in Odisha, for dry cannabis. Teku asked B Srinu to wait near Gabbada locality under Narsipatnam rural limits to receive 23 kgs of weed.When B Srinu was receiving the cannabis from two persons, Ramana Murthy and T Ganesh Kumar, the police raided the spot, seized the ganja laden car, 23 kgs of dry cannabis and three mobile phones from them. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to nab the supplier.
