Promoting reading culture: Pustak Parav 2026 concludes in Gumla; Future events to continue fostering creativity and cultural awareness

Gumla: The two-day Pustak Parav (book festival), 2026, hosted jointly by the district administration, education department and Azim Premji Foundation concluded here with a note of vibrant blend of art, literature and culture in Gumla on Wednesday. The event was aimed at promoting reading culture among various sections of the society. Students from various schools and colleges also presented cultural performances over the two days. On the second day, Chhau dance and a play based on the life of Birsa Munda were major highlights. Gumla DC Prerna Dixit said, “Such events promote knowledge, creativity and cultural awareness in the society besides promoting reading habits among people. Similar events will be organised in the future also."
