3 held for sneaking in house, molesting minor

Times News NetworkBokaro: Police on Tuesday arrested three youths for allegedly scaling the wall of a house and molesting a 14-year-old girl in Bokaro district.The arrested accused are in the age group of 19-20. They were produced before a local court and remanded to judicial custody on Tuesday.An official said, “The incident occurred on May 31 midnight and an FIR was registered under the Pocso Act on June 1 based on the statement of the survivor’s mother. The complainant stated that the family members, including the minor and her brother, were sleeping in separate rooms. Taking advantage of the dark, the three scaled the compound wall and sneaked inside. They targeted the minor girl with the intent to sexually assault her.”When the girl raised an alarm, her brother woke up and rushed to her rescue. However, the accused assaulted the brother before fleeing.
