Khare’s century powers Raipur Rhinos to 90-run win in CCPL opener

Raipur Rhinos won the inaugural match of the third edition of the Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL) T20 on Wednesday, defeating Rajnandgaon Panthers by 90 runs at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur.The Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh is organizing the tournament, which runs from 3 June to 14 June 2026.Rajnandgaon Panthers won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, Raipur Rhinos posted a massive score of 228 for six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Amandeep Khare led from the front, scoring 102 runs off 11 boundaries and three sixes. He shared a 147-run opening partnership with Amit Kumar Yadav, who smashed 85 runs. For Rajnandgaon Panthers, Satyam Dubey took two wickets.Chasing a target of 229 runs, Rajnandgaon Panthers collapsed early, losing four wickets for just 56 runs. They were bowled out for 138 runs in 16 overs. The Rajnandgaon Panthers captain Ajay Mandal offered the only resistance with a fighting 74 runs, as other batters failed to score big. For Raipur Rhinos, Gaurav Chaturvedi took four wickets, while Ashish Chouhan and Prasant Sai Paikra claimed two wickets each. Amandeep Khare was named the player of the match.
