45-year-old man killed in clash over land dispute in Bihar's Gopalganj district

PATNA: A 45-year-old man was killed and six others were injured in a violent clash between two groups of people over a land dispute at Bankatiya Tola Tand under the Kateya police station area in Gopalganj district on Thursday.According to eyewitnesses, the clash broke out at a meeting of the local panchayat in a matter related to construction of a house on a disputed plot. The two groups turned violent at the meeting after a verbal spat and attacked each other with sharp weapons. At least seven people were injured in the clash. One of the them, Balister Ram, succumbed to his injuries.Hathwa SDPO Naresh Kumar said seven people were arrested in connection with the clash.
