Parents away at work, 6-year-old lured and raped by teen

Noida: A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl from her neighbourhood.The child lives with her parents, who work as daily-wage labourers. On Wednesday, the couple had gone to work, leaving her alone at home. Around 2pm, the child was playing in the lane when the teenager approached her and lured her into his home on the pretext of giving her food and snacks. He then allegedly gagged and raped her.When the child went home upset and with soiled clothes, her parents got suspicious. She then told her mother what happened. The couple filed a complaint at Sector 113 police station.The teenager was arrested. He has been charged under sections of rape, intimidation and the POCSO Act. Further investigation is underway.
