Six booked for attacking Sena functionary in Nashik’s Ambad

Nashik: A local functionary of Shiv Sena was attacked with sharp weapons by a group of six people in the Datta Chowk area of Ambad on Tuesday evening.According to the police, the attack on the complainant, identified as Suyash Patil, was out of personal enmity and there was no political angle involved."The incident took place around 8.30pm on Tuesday. Patil, in his complaint, has said that he was sitting at an office in the Datta Chowk area when the group of assailants came there and started attacking him," a police officer said.Senior inspector Jugvendrasing Rajput of the Ambad police station said, "We have registered a case of attempt to murder against six people under relevant sections of the BNS. The suspects have been detained and the process of arresting them is underway."He added, "There was a personal dispute between the victim and one of the six accused which led to the attack." Soon after the incident, the victim was rushed to a hospital by the local residents. Patil's condition is stable as only one among the six had attacked him with a sharp weapon.
