Plot of ‘Bhooth Bangla’

The story is set in an old, spooky house known as “Bhoot Bangla,” on the edge of a small town, where people have always believed that strange and scary things happen. The house has a bad reputation: locals discuss strange noises, ghost‑like shadows, and weird events that follow anyone who stays there.

What can fans expect from 'Bhooth Bangla'?

Fans can expect Bhoot Bangla to be a simple horror‑comedy entertainer where a haunted mansion becomes the backdrop for laughs, scares, and family chaos. There are some spooky scenes and jump‑scare moments, but the film keeps things light and funny, with Akshay Kumar juggling fear and comedy in a typical Priyadarshan‑style setup. Along with Akshay, actors like Tabu, Paresh Rawal and others add humour and drama, while the story slowly reveals a mix of supernatural vibes and a human‑driven twist, making it more of a fun, masala watch than a serious horror film.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ technical detials

According to Sacnilk, the film has earned Rs 15.82 lakh in India by selling 8,757 tickets so far. Madhya Pradesh contributed the highest amount at Rs 2.79 lakh. Although the numbers are still in the lakhs, trade expects the film to recover its costs before its full theatrical run, banking on the successful past track record of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan. Reports suggest that ‘Bhooth Bangla’ is currently trending better than Akshay’s last release, ‘Jolly LLB 3’. The courtroom drama, which also stars Arshad Warsi, was released last year and had collected over Rs 3.23 crore from advance bookings, eventually opening at Rs 12.50 crore.
