Exam schedule and participation
The UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for the academic session 2025 to 26 were conducted from February 18 to March 12, 2026. The exams were held in offline mode across the state. Each paper lasted three hours and fifteen minutes.
The examinations were conducted in two shifts. The morning shift was held from 8:30 am to 11:45 am, while the afternoon shift took place from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. This year, more than 52 lakh students registered for the exams, and around 49.4 lakh students appeared.
Evaluation process
The evaluation process started on March 18, 2026. Initially, the board planned to complete the evaluation by April 1. However, delays were reported due to holidays including Eid ul Fitr on March 21 and Ram Navami on March 26 and 27. After requests from evaluation centres, the board extended the deadline to April 4. The evaluation work has now been completed.
Nearly 3 crore answer sheets were checked by around 1.5 lakh teachers across more than 250 centres. In the first two days alone, more than 21 lakh answer sheets were evaluated.
How to check results
Students will be able to check their results on the official websites upresults.nic.in and upmsp.edu.in. Results will also be available on DigiLocker, the Unified Mobile Application for New age Governance (UMANG) app, and the Times of India (TOI) result portal.
Students can check their results by entering their roll number and captcha code. They are advised to download and print the provisional marksheet. The original marksheets will be distributed by schools later.
Passing criteria and previous trends
Students must score at least 33 percent marks in each subject and overall to pass. Students failing in more than two subjects will need to appear for compartment exams.
Last year, the Class 10 pass percentage was 90.11 percent and Class 12 recorded 81.15 percent. The board will also release toppers list, district wise data, gender wise performance and other statistics along with the results.
UPMSP has also issued an advisory warning students against cyber fraud and fake result announcements. Students are advised to rely only on official sources for updates.
