Nagpur: In two separate operations, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested two govt officials red-handed while accepting bribes in Nagpur district on Sunday.A junior clerk working at the the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) dispensary at Pachpaoli was caught accepting a bribe of Rs2,000. A complainant alleged that Harshal Arun Kasbe (37) demanded Rs 3,000 to clear his wife's medical reimbursement bill of Rs 32,000. After verification, ACB laid a trap and arrested him while accepting the bribe.In another operation in Saoner Tehsil Office, revenue inspector Pravin Hargovind Meshram (47) was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs25,000. The accused demanded Rs75,000 to clear a mutation case. He had already received Rs 50,000 earlier and was caught accepting the remaining amount in a meticulously planned trap.Cases have been registered against both under the Prevention of Corruption Act at respective police stations. The operations were conducted under the guidance of senior ACB officers.
