5-year-old boy dies, heatstroke suspected
Nagpur: A five-year-old boy died of suspected heatstroke at Miyakhan Colony under the jurisdiction of Kotwali police station on Saturday. Mohammad Sultan Mohammad Siddiqui developed health complications after a cold-water bath at home and soon died.According to police reports, the boy was playing outside and went to his grandmother's house at around 11am on Saturday (May 30). After taking a cold bath at home, he immediately complained of dizziness and fell unconscious.Panicked family members rushed him to Mayo Hospital, where the doctor examined the child and declared him dead at around 12.30pm.The police have registered the case as an accidental death based on the family's statement and medical report.The exact cause of the death is yet to be ascertained, though initial inquiries suggest it could be heatwave-related health complications. The news has left the entire locality in shock, with residents expressing grief over the young boy's untimely demise.
