Agniveer selection rally begins in Mysuru with 9-day screening process
Mysuru: A nine-day Agniveer selection rally commenced at the Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad on Sunday, marking the second phase of the recruitment process.The written examination for the rally was conducted in June 2025, and candidates who qualified moved on to the screening stage. A total of 6,000 male and 192 female aspirants were expected to participate in the rally.Each day, around 800 candidates were set to undergo physical and other screening tests, with only those who cleared the physical round progressing to the medical examination. The rally for female candidates was scheduled to be held on April 27.Accommodation for participants was arranged at the Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry. The district administration put in place all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the rally.Colonel Vivek Jamdar stated that this was the second phase of the selection process, following the Common Entrance Examination held last year. "On the first day, nearly 400 candidates participated in the rally," he said.
