Rising fuel prices may impact school bus operations; operators may revise bus fee
School Bus Owners Association has expressed serious concern over the continuous rise in diesel and fuel prices
Mumbai The School Bus Owners Association (SBOA) on Monday expressed serious concern over the continuous rise in diesel and fuel prices at a time when schools across the state are preparing to reopen for the new academic year.“School bus operators, who are already facing severe financial pressure due to increasing operational expenses, maintenance costs, insurance premiums, permits, staff salaries, and compliance requirements, may now be compelled to revise school bus transportation fees if fuel prices continue to rise further,” said Anil Garg of SBOA, adding that costs can be controlled only if schools had a hybrid teaching system.
