Man shot in leg in Jaipur; property dispute angle under probe

Jaipur: A man was injured after unidentified persons opened fire at him in the Ashok Nagar area Wednesday, with police suspecting the attack may be linked to personal enmity or a property dispute.The injured man, identified as Shahid, a resident of Bhatta Basti, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and was admitted to the Trauma Centre at SMS Hospital. Doctors said his condition was stable and he was out of danger.Police teams from Ashok Nagar and SMS police stations reached the spot after receiving information and began an investigation.Officials said preliminary inquiry points to a possible dispute over possession of property, though other angles are also being examined.Investigators are analysing CCTV footage from the area and gathering evidence to identify the assailants and establish the sequence of events.No arrests were made yet but a case was filed.
