Dehradun: BJP national president
Nitin Nabin will begin a three-day visit to Uttarakhand on Thursday, his first trip to the state since taking charge of the party, during which he will meet office-bearers, elected representatives and party workers. Party members said Nabin will review organisational matters, take feedback from workers and interact with the state leadership.
Uttarakhand BJP media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said, “Nabin will arrive at Jolly Grant Airport at 4.35 pm and proceed directly to the party’s state office, where he will meet members of the core committee, followed by a meeting with ministers.”
On the second day of his visit, Nabin will meet chief minister
Pushkar Singh Dhami and later visit the residence of former chief minister and BJP stalwart
BC Khanduri, who passed away following a prolonged illness, to pay tributes and meet the bereaved family. He will also interact with MPs, MLAs, Pradesh office-bearers, Morcha presidents, general secretaries, district in-charges, co-in-charges and district presidents.
On the final day, Nabin will offer prayers at Tapkeshwar Mahadev Mandir and have refreshments at the residence of the booth president of booth no 141 in Dakra, Garhi Cantt. He will then attend a meeting of booth committee 138 of Durgamall mandal, address party workers and participate in a programme at the CM camp office before departing for Delhi.
State BJP president Mahendra Bhatt described the visit as significant ahead of the 2027 assembly elections. “We are putting all preparations in place and party leaders have been assigned responsibilities for different events,” he said.
Bhatt added that the national president’s interaction with workers and guidance on organisational and contemporary issues would help energise the cadre ahead of the polls.
