Shimla: Several parts of Himachal Pradesh, especially in the low and mid hills, continued to reel under intense heat on Wednesday, with Una recording the highest day temperature of 44℃.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, temperatures stayed significantly above normal across several parts of the state.
Neri in Hamirpur recorded a maximum of 40.7℃, Sundernagar 39.3℃, Kangra 38.8℃, Mandi 38.6℃ and Bhuntar in Kullu district 36℃. Shimla recorded a maximum of 29℃ -- 3.2 degrees above normal.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district registered a day temperature of 25.4℃, while Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti remained relatively cooler at 20.9℃.
Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 4.7℃ on Wednesday.
