Times News NetworkChandigarh: One of the six persons injured in a series of LPG cylinder blasts in Burail succumbed to his injuries late on Monday night, police said on Tuesday. The deceased, Munna, had sustained severe burn injuries in the explosions. Another victim remains in critical condition and is undergoing treatment.Following the death, police have registered a case of culpable homicide against the owner of the shop where the cylinders were allegedly stored. Sources said the accused operated a grocery store and had stocked LPG cylinders illegally for sale. Police said a detailed probe is underway and the department concerned has been informed.The incident has also raised questions over local enforcement, as Burail village has a dedicated police chowki. Panic gripped the area on Monday after multiple explosions rocked a house. At least three cylinders are believed to have exploded in quick succession, causing extensive damage to the building.Eyewitnesses said the first blast triggered chaos in the neighbourhood, followed by two more explosions within minutes. The impact was so strong that nearby houses shook, forcing residents to rush out onto the streets in fear.
