CHSE announces improvement, instant exam dates
Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Wednesday announced that the Annual Higher Secondary Improvement Examination-2026 would be conducted along with the Instant examination on July 3 and 4.CHSE informed that students have to pay Rs 800 for Improvement examination and Rs 600 for Instant examination.This is the first time the council will conduct the Improvement examination for Class XII students of the state board to improve their grades in one subject, while it has been holding the Instant examination for students who have failed in one subject every year.According to a notification released by the council on the day, a regular student who had registered in 2024-25 academic session of arts, commerce, science and vocational education streams and students of distance education who have cleared the Annual Higher Secondary Examination (state Class XII boards) are eligible to appear for the Improvement exam in one theory subject from either compulsory, elective or trade subjects.Students who have secured pass marks with an aggregate 210 marks but failed in or remained absent from appearing for one paper (theory or practical component) in the annual examination can sit for the instant examination in either theory or practicals.
