21-year-old woman assaulted, harassed after giving birth to daughter in MP's Chhatarpur
BHOPAL: A 21-year-old woman from Chhatarpur has approached police, claiming she was assaulted and harassed by her husband and in-laws after giving birth to a daughter three months ago.
According to the complaint, her husband and in-laws were unhappy over the birth of a girl child and allegedly assaulted and threatened her.
She also claimed that during a recent altercation, her husband tried to harm the infant. Fearing for their safety, she left the house with the baby and sought police intervention.
