Bhopal: A 32-year-old govt school employee died allegedly by suicide at his house in Ratibad area after making a video call to his wife and telling her about his intention to take the extreme step.
According to police, Bhavesh Patel, a resident of Neelbad, was working as a peon in a govt school. His wife had recently gone to her parental home in Indore along with their two children.
Late on Thursday night, Bhavesh reportedly made a video call to his wife and showed her a noose, telling her that he was going to end his life. Alarmed by the call, the woman immediately informed her brother-in-law and husband’s friends.
Family members and friends rushed to Bhavesh’s house, but found the main door locked from inside. After gaining entry, they found him hanging in a room. He was brought down immediately, but had already died by the time relatives reached him.
Ratibad police were informed and the body was sent for post-mortem examination. No suicide note was recovered from the spot.
Police said the exact reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained and further investigation is underway. Bhavesh is survived by his wife, a five-year-old son and a one-year-old daughter.
