Bareilly: A 15-year-old Class IX student missing for two days was found dead inside a dilapidated house in Bareilly’s Izzatnagar area Thursday. While police suspect he was under stress after recently failing his exams, his family alleged foul play.Family members said the boy left home two days ago. His father, a lawyer, lodged a missing complaint at Izzatnagar police station. Police had formed two teams to trace him. The boy’s body was later discovered in an abandoned house after locals spotted it and alerted authorities.The family has raised doubts over the circumstances of his death. The boy’s uncle, also a lawyer, said the room had thick cobwebs and dust on surfaces, and claimed there were no signs of disturbance, such as footprints or broken cobwebs. He alleged the body might have been placed there after the boy was murdered.The family also accused the class teacher of mentally harassing the child following his exam failure.SP (city) Manush Pareek said, “Prima facie, the case appears to be a suicide, possibly linked to academic stress. All angles, including allegations of murder and harassment, are being investigated.”
