Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA), an industrial association based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, has requested the Centre to restructure loans of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and infuse additional fund flow.
The request was made during the visit of top officials from the Ministry of MSME to the Common Facility Centre (CFC) developed by MASSIA at Waluj.
Subhas Chandra Lal Das, secretary with the Ministry of MSME, R K Rai, additional development commissioner, and Abhay Daftardar, assistant development commissioner with the ministry, were among the top officials who visited the CFC.
"We have raised the demand for restructuring of loans disbursed to MSMEs for the benefit of local industries and sought additional funding through different avenues.
We also requested central authorities for timely disbursement of funds under the Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme of the Centre," Pruthviraj Shah, director of MASSIA auto component cluster, said.
In the wake of the ongoing shortage of the supply of LPG gas to industries, MASSIA office bearers also demanded a smooth supply of the fuel. "We sought support from the Centre to resolve our issues. The Central authorities assured us of a positive response to our demands," Shah said.
