​Don’t fall prey to fake talathi selection orders: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district administration

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The district administration in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has issued a public warning urging people not to fall prey to fake selection orders for the post of talathi, following reports of fraudulent activities by unknown people.“No such orders have been issued by the district collectorate’s district selection committee following the examination of the post of talathi held in 2023,” the administration said in an official release.Officials clarified that the recruitment exam for village revenue officers (talathis) was conducted in Aug-Sept 2023 by an IT firm on behalf of Maharashtra govt, under the coordination of the state exam coordinator, additional commissioner of settlement, and additional director of land records, Pune.For Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, 154 posts were advertised. A combined selection and waiting list of 153 candidates was prepared, out of which 144 candidates have already been appointed.“Apart from these, the district collectorate has not issued any other selection orders for the post of village revenue officer. As the recruitment process for 2023 has concluded, people are advised not to be misled by the false claims of unknown individuals,” the administration said.Authorities declined to elaborate on specific instances of fake orders being circulated but acknowledged the emergence of such fraudulent attempts.The administration has urged people to remain vigilant and report any suspicious communication or offers.
