An India-linked LPG supertanker Sarv Shakti is navigating through the Strait of Hormuz, a key but highly strained global energy route amid the ongoing West Asia crisis. The vessel is carrying about 45,000 tonnes of LPG and is reportedly heading toward India, with state-run Indian Oil Corporation said to be the buyer, though not officially confirmed. The ship has been tracked passing Iran’s Larak and Qeshm islands toward the Gulf of Oman while signalling India as its destination. Its movement comes at a time when traffic through Hormuz has sharply reduced due to tensions and restrictions linked to Iran. If completed, the voyage would be among the rare successful crossings in recent weeks. The transit is expected to be closely monitored over the next several hours.
