Commercial LPG Rates Increased, Domestic Cooking Gas Prices Unchanged

Commercial LPG cylinder prices have been increased across major cities effective June 1, with oil marketing companies raising rates for 19-kilogram commercial cylinders while leaving domestic LPG prices unchanged. In Delhi, commercial cylinder prices have risen by Rs 42, while Kolkata has seen an increase of Rs 53.50. The revision is expected to impact hotels, restaurants, eateries and other businesses that depend on LPG. The government has meanwhile directed oil marketing companies to maintain a minimum 30-day LPG reserve as part of efforts to strengthen fuel security amid volatility in global energy markets. Domestic 14.2-kilogram LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged across the country.
