Bihar Hospital Fire Claims Four Lives; CM Announces Rs 4 Lakh Aid

Four people died after a major fire broke out in the ICU of Prasad Hospital in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district. Firefighting teams rushed to the spot and successfully brought the blaze under control after rescue and evacuation efforts. Muzaffarpur District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen initially reported three fatalities, but Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary later confirmed that four people had lost their lives in the incident. The Chief Minister announced an ex-gratia compensation of Rs 4 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased. The cause of the fire has not yet been officially established, and authorities are expected to conduct a detailed investigation into the tragedy.
