‘No Victory Lap In Beijing’: Iran Mocks Trump Before China Trip, Reminds US Of ‘Battlefield Defeat’

Senior Iranian official Ali Akbar Velayati, adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, warned that Washington could never win diplomatically after allegedly failing militarily against Iran. Velayati accused President Donald Trump of trying to exploit Iran’s restraint before his upcoming Beijing visit and mocked U.S. claims surrounding the ceasefire. He also claimed Iran’s military response reshaped the geopolitical order across West Asia. The remarks came amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington following the collapse of indirect negotiations and renewed threats of confrontation.
