Fresh negotiations between the United States and Iran in Islamabad are facing uncertainty even before they begin. According to Iranian media reports, Tehran has not yet decided to send a delegation, linking its participation to the removal of the US naval blockade. Iranian officials view the restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz as a violation, arguing that meaningful negotiations cannot take place while pressure continues at sea. The situation creates a diplomatic paradox: talks are formally scheduled, but one side may not attend.
