Maharashtra government has officially acquired the iconic Air India building in Nariman Point for Rs 1601 crore. This move aims to consolidate state offices, saving an estimated Rs 200 crore in annual rent. The 22-storied structure, leased to Air India in 1970, will provide 46,470 square meters of space. Renovation is expected to take over six months.
