Ranchi residents flocked to polling stations Saturday to verify their voter mapping status ahead of a special revision. The unmapped voter list, released by the CEO, is displayed for two weeks. Ranchi's Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar shared details on electoral roll publication. Draft rolls and unmapped voter lists will be available to political parties and online from August 5. Voters must visit polling centers from May 23 to check unmapped lists. Contacting BLOs is essential for mapping. This process ensures accurate voter registration for eligible Indian citizens.

Apart from authorities finding attempts to tamper with footage captured by web cameras installed at several polling stations, allegations of EVM manipulation were reported at a Falta booth, eventually prompting the Election Commission to order repolling.

Punjab gears up for polling in 103 urban local bodies today, featuring 7,555 candidates vying for 1,896 wards. Eight municipal corporations, 75 municipal councils, and 20 nagar panchayats are part of this extensive electoral exercise.
