Mumbai, Aug 2 () Jet Airways pilots' union, National Aviator's Guild, is likely to hold talks with the airline management tomorrow on the issue of steep reduction in the salaries of junior trainee pilots.

Jet Airways pilots' association on Thursday said it has given the management seven days time to reinstate two sacked pilots.

Jet Airways pilots based in the city have expressed support for the strike call given by the national aviators guild, a newly formed pilots' union of the airline.

Jet Airways has reportedly asked many of its junior pilots to give a bond of up to Rs 1 crore to act as a deterrent against leaving the company before five to seven years. Last week, the airline had asked 318 co-pilots to take 10 days off a month from August 1.

Mumbai, Mar 20 () The pilots' grouping of Jet Airways has said that the airline is on the "verge of collapse" and that they are facing lot of financial hardships without any relief in sight.

The national aviators guild (NAG), the body claiming representation of some 1,100 pilots at Jet Airways, had last week announced its decision not to fly from April 1 if their pending salaries were not cleared and clarity on the revival plan not provided by March 31.

Pilot unions across airlines have demanded that the aviation ministry take action against a DGCA official who pulled up Jet Airways pilots for critically commenting on a a civil aviation requirement (CAR) draft that proposed to set one-year notice period for captains to resign from airlines.

Mumbai, Jul 23 () Jet Airways has asked junior pilots to furnish surety bonds worth up to Rs 1 crore and serve the airline for at least five to seven years, union sources said.

Jet Airways and its pilots reportedly reached a broad understanding to break the deadlock over the pilots' stir raising prospects of a quick return to normalcy. The sacked pilots will be taken back.

Around 1,100 pilots belonging to Jet Airways' pilots body National Aviator's Guild have decided not to fly from Monday in protest against "non-payment of salary dues, a source said Sunday. The pilots along with engineers & senior management have not received salaries since January. Jet has not paid March salary to employees of other categories as well.

The National Aviators’ Guild said in a communication to members that 410 pilots had resigned between last September and March 31, 2019 and that the airline now has on its rolls about 1,527 pilots. “Wet lease plans are being looked at and clarity will be provided when modalities will be worked out and a concrete plan is available,” NAG said.

Mumbai, Apr 19 () Jet Airways is treating Indian pilots in a "step-motherly" manner compared to expats, pilots' body NAG said today even as the airline asserted that it has a strict and common code for employees.

Jet Airways pilots, engineers and senior executives have not been paid for the last three months amid cash-drought in the airline that saw an ownership change last month with banks taking majority shares. The airline has defaulted on the payment of March salaries to other employees as well. The national aviators guild set April 19 deadline for clearance of dues.

Jet Airways chief Naresh Goyal's executive assistant Jennifer D'Silva is alleged to have pressurised the captain of its international flight to allow her to sleep on a bunk which is only meant for resting of flight crew members as per the DGCA norms, sources said.

"Non-payment of salaries is leading to extreme tension and frustration among us, which is hardly an ideal situation for pilots in the cockpits. EMIs, school and college fees to be paid along with medical bills of our ageing parents," Chopra said.

Jet Airways pilots' union, national aviators guild has said that it would meet with the air-carrier's management in New Delhi on Friday to hammer out a solution to the ongoing crisis.
