The CBSE has significantly reduced revaluation fees to address student anxiety surrounding its new digital evaluation system. Students will now pay Rs 100 for scanned copies and verification, and Rs 25 per question for corrections, with full refunds if marks increase. This move aims to ease concerns about transparency and accuracy in the On-Screen Marking.

CBSE declared the Class XII results on May 13, 2026, with an overall pass percentage of 85.20%, down from 88.39% last year. Over 15 lakh students cleared the examination out of 17.68 lakh who appeared. The decline of 3.19 percentage points coincided with the introduction of On-Screen Marking (OSM) for evaluation and reportedly tougher Physics and Mathematics papers. Experts cited multiple factors, including digital assessment and competency-based questions under NEP.

CBSE has released Class 10 admit cards for the second board exams, scheduled from May 15, 2026. Over 6 lakh students are expected to appear for these exams, which offer an opportunity for score improvement. Schools can download hall tickets from cbse.gov.in, with strict guidelines for students regarding reporting time, dress code, and prohibited items.

The CBSE conducted the Class 12 History exam 2026 on March 30 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Students from Sonia Vihar and Khajoori Khas described the paper as easy overall, though Section B and some three-mark questions were challenging. Teachers termed the paper balanced and aligned with the CBSE pattern, with a mix of MCQs, source-based, and map questions. Due to the prevailing situation in West Asia, CBSE has cancelled Class 12 board exams scheduled from March 16 to April 10, 2026, for students in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. An alternative assessment scheme will be implemented, utilizing school-based evaluations and internal marks to ensure fair results for all students.

CBSE Class 10 results for 2026 are anticipated soon, likely mid-May, mirroring past trends. Students can check scores on cbse.gov.in or results.cbse.nic.in, and via DigiLocker. Essential details like roll number and date of birth are needed. The board is expected to return to its usual mid-May release schedule after pandemic-induced delays in previous years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting with the Union education minister and key officials on Wednesday to discuss the issue of CBSE Board Exams, government sources said.

The schedule for classes 10 and 12 board examinations will be announced on December 31, Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank' said on Saturday. Nishank had earlier this week ruled out conducting board examinations for classes 10 and 12 till February in view of the Covid-19 situation.

The DCM briefed them on current regional situation and the Embassy's initiatives to support Indian community, and also addressed queries related to the CBSE Board Examinations."

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened registration for Class 9 and 11 students for the CBSE Board Examination 2024. The registration period is from September 12 to October 12, 2023, with a late fee option available until October 25, 2023. The registration is open for both domestic and international students. Schools are required to register themselves before submitting student names. The Board has also requested schools to avoid abbreviations when filling in student names.
