The two-day music festival called ‘Naandiswar’ organized by 'Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal' was held at Sawai Gandharva Memorial in Shivajinagar.

This recently concluded classical music event in the city brought together the young and the old. As the audience sat rapt in attention, the maestros of classical music took them on a journey of dulcet sounds and beautiful tunes.

The inaugural day of SwaraZankar featured an enchanting sitar performance by Shakir Khan and soul-stirring tunes from Manjusha Patil, Anand Bhate, and Shounak Abhisheki, setting the stage for the subsequent days. On the second day, the audience was treated to intricate melodies by Sanjeev Abhyankar and a mesmerizing sitar performance by Purbayan Chatterjee.

Anand Bhate’s recital of Raga Brindabani Sarang underlined that he truly is the musical child of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. His exploration of the afternoon melody was of high order.
