Real Madrid icon Dani Carvajal leaves out Alvaro Arbeloa from farewell dinner as dressing room tensions continue to build up

Real Madrid legend Dani Carvajal hosted a private dinner with several teammates and club staff members last night. However, one key figure was missing from the outing. Current Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa was not invited.The news comes shortly after Real Madrid confirmed that Carvajal will leave the club at the end of the season. The veteran right-back will become a free agent once his contract expires this summer. Carvajal spent nearly two decades with Los Blancos after rising through the club academy. However, Alvaro Arbeloa was not among the guests. The decision has raised fresh questions about the relationship between the coach and senior members of the squad.Real Madrid appointed Arbeloa as manager in January after parting ways with Xabi Alonso. Since then, the club has struggled badly. Los Blancos failed to win a single trophy this season. Reports of dressing room tensions have also emerged several times during the campaign.Midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni were even punished after reportedly getting involved in a training ground altercation. The latest dinner incident involving Carvajal has now further increased speculation about divisions inside the squad.Carvajal and Arbeloa previously shared a strong connection at Real Madrid. The two played together on 26 occasions during their time as teammates. However, things appear different since Arbeloa became head coach earlier this year. Carvajal has struggled for regular minutes under the 43-year-old manager. The defender has made 14 appearances across competitions since January but started only five matches.Meanwhile, Spain national team coach Luis de la Fuente recently explained why Carvajal was left out of Spain’s preliminary FIFA World Cup squad. Carvajal has played 52 matches for Spain and helped the country win the UEFA European Championship and the UEFA Nations League.
