If one actually watches Kamindu Mendis bat, his shot-making resembles a lot to that of the great Kumar Sangakkara. Not surprising, as Sanga would have been a childhood idol for many. Additionally, Kamindu comes across as a youngster who trusts his game and is very confident about himself. That pick-up shot in the previous over for six reminded so much of the great Sangakkara. Kamindu is currently 9th in the ICC Test rankings for batters.

To be very honest it looks like Mathews is gone for all money! Marco Jansen comes from around the wicket and bowls it nice and straight, on a fuller than a good length and on middle and leg. The UltraEdge shows no spike and there is a huge gap between bat and pad. The Ball Tracking shows all three reds and Angelo Mathews's gritty knock of 25(42) comes to an end and Sri Lanka slip down to 82/3 needing 434 more runs to win.
