MI vs GT Highlights, IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans beat Mumbai Indians by 3-wickets in last-ball thriller

MI vs GT Live Score, IPL 2025: In a thrilling Indian Premier League encounter decided by the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method, the Gujarat Titans edged out the Mumbai Indians by three wickets after rain interruptions twice change the course of the chase.

In the first innings, Mumbai Indians struggled to a modest 155 for eight, largely thanks to Will Jacks' 53 (35 balls) and a 71-run partnership with Suryakumar Yadav (35 off 24 balls).

A late cameo from Corbin Bosch (27 off 22 balls) helped bolster the MI innings.

In response, Gujarat faced a revised target of 147 and, despite a measured 43 from captain Shubman Gill, found themselves needing every last ball to secure the victory.

Mumbai's Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult impressed with two wickets each, but R Sai Kishore's economical 2/34 proved crucial for GT in restricting MI earlier in the match.

IPL Live: GT director on Shubman Gill
"He's an outstanding batsman and really has a bright future as far as his batting is concerned but what's pleasing to see is that he's growing as far as leadership is concerned and he's really grown into the role of captaincy. So that's great to see. When you have somebody that is as gifted, as talented, as exceptional as Shubman is as a batsman sometimes you might have concerns around whether the weight of leadership would bear heavy."

MI vs GT Live Score: Pitch report
The center of the square is with 63-meter boundaries on either side and 73 meters straight down the ground. There’s a good grass covering on the surface, but underneath, it’s quite dry with a slight bristle, suggesting the ball might grip and hold a touch early on. Retaining moisture has clearly been a challenge for the groundstaff. As the game progresses, the surface may slow down a bit, aiding spinners and slower bowlers. That said, chasing could be the better option, with conditions possibly improving under lights — though it’s a brave call in these humid conditions.
