He specifically praised Abhishek Paradkar for his impressive debut despite minimal preparation and lauded Ian Holland for his skillful pace variation that troubled the opposition batters. Maxwell also appreciated the batting display, particularly the crucial partnership between Rachin Ravindra and Mitchell Owen, emphasizing the importance of not losing wickets in the middle overs.

Ian Holland, Player of the match, credited his success to the experience he gained in the previous season playing alongside a group of seasoned international players. He revealed that after the first game, his team identified the pitch's characteristics and worked to exploit them. The openers did their job, giving the team a solid start, but the middle order failed to capitalize, with Sikandar Raza particularly disappointing.
