The skipper of Bangladesh Under-19, Azizul Hakim Tamim - Hakim expressed his disappointment with the result, acknowledging a couple of mistakes but stressing that the team is in a learning phase. He specifically mentioned that a total of 137 was not good enough on this wicket and emphasized the need for a much-improved batting performance in future games.

Player of the Match and skipper of England Under-19, Thomas Rew! Rew lauded his team’s exceptional start with the ball on a dry, spinning track, crediting the bowlers for an unbelievable performance that restricted Bangladesh to under 140. He highlighted the squad's improved fielding and successful catching as a result of hard work with their coaching staff, noting that the team plans to relax tomorrow before resuming intense training. Regarding the chase, Rew emphasized that the group prioritized enjoyment over haste, which paved the way for the clinical partnerships that secured the win. Personally, the skipper expressed his fondness for taking on spinners with the sweep shot and maintained that balancing the triple responsibilities of captaincy, wicket-keeping, and batting remains a comfortable task for him.

Decision to bat first backfires on Bangladesh - Earlier in the game, Bangladesh Under-19s' decision to bat first backfired with a mediocre batting display, resulting in them being bowled out for a mere 136 runs in 38.1 overs. A brief 46-run second-wicket stand between Rifat Beg and Azizul Hakim Tamim was the only notable partnership. After Farhan Ahmed broke this stand, a middle-order collapse ensued. Despite late resistance from Md Abdullah and Shahriar Ahmed, a disciplined and relentless England bowling attack, led by Sebastian Morgan, Manny Lumsden, and Ralphie Albert, ensured Bangladesh never posted a competitive total.

Bangladesh's bowlers fought hard but fell short - Despite defending a meagre 136, the Bangladesh bowlers put in a valiant effort and managed to rattle England's top order early on. Their hopes were quickly diminished, however, by the aggressive counter-attack launched by England's skipper, Rew, which swiftly took the game away from them. Among the bowlers, only Al Fahad and Samiun Basir Ratul found success. Fahad claimed two of England's wickets, while Samiun took one. The rest of the teammates went wicketless despite their commendable effort.

Rew leads the charge - England's pursuit of 137 saw a couple of early wickets fall, but at no point did the team look threatened in the face of the low total posted by Bangladesh. Joe Moores had a short stay at the crease, dismissed in the same over he was given a life. Ben Dawkins showed promise with a fluent start before falling for 27. It was the partnership between Ben Mayes and skipper Thomas Rew that ultimately steered England to the finish line, which was later crossed with Thomas Rew and Caleb Falconer. Rew took on the Bangladesh attack with an aggressive approach, doing the bulk of the scoring and ensuring a comfortable chase by scoring a thumping half-century and remaining unbeaten till the very end.
