Located in the north of the Olympic Park, the Velodrome was the first Olympic Park venue to be completed. The Velodrome’s design incorporates natural ventilation and lets in an abundance of natural light, reducing the amount of energy needed for artificial lighting. The Velodrome has capacity for 6,000 spectators, with the seating split into two tiers. It will be a track cycling venue during the 2012 London Olympics. After the Games it will be managed by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.
