MGK calls Yungblud 'Pinocchio' for rising ticket prices in since-deleted comment; 'You cancelled tour'
The feud between Rock and Rap has started brewing, as MGK has taken charge and fired shots at Yungblud after the latter blasted on social media about the tour ticket prices. MGK, with the real name Colson Baker, had slammed the pop punk mogul’s comment on rising prices to watch live music, calling him ‘Pinocchio.’ However, the representatives of Yungblud, also known as Dominic Richard Harrison, dismissed the comments, stating that the singer is too busy to engage.

Yungblud opened up about rising ticket prices

Recently, with the rising ticket prices for live shows, many artists are cancelling their concerts as many seats get unsold. The artists include Zayn Malik, Post Malone, Meghan Trainor, and many more. Commenting on the critical scenario in the music industry, Yungblud said, “Live music has become inaccessible—that is a fact—and artists are canceling all the time based on lack of ticket sales because it is an issue. It’s completely unaffordable for people,” during his statement on his official handle to promote his upcoming festival, Bludfest. “I genuinely believe that with my community we can make an impact and make a difference and be an example of something that is affordable, real, and all about community,” he continued.

MGK’s since-deleted statement about Yungblud’s tour prices

In a since-deleted comment by MGK as per the screenshots circulated online on the social media, he voiced, “You cancelled a tour because you couldn’t sell tickets blamed it on mental health then got [paparazzi’d] at Nobu the next day Pinocchio,” before stating that Yungblud’s ticket prices are similar to those of other artists, according to Cosmopolitan.
While the fans burst out in the comment section, the 28-year-old did not immediately react. However, the team of the ‘Hated’ singer shared the view. “Dom has not commented directly as he is so busy focusing on his sold-out North American tour and finishing his next album,” the statement said, before stating that Yungblud does not have time to engage with in any of this and wished MGK the best.
