Alliance standings across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are shifting rapidly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 declared and 105 leads still in progress, leaving them just 3 seats short of the majority mark if those leads hold. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 won and 53 leading, while NDA is at 55, all leads and no wins declared yet. In West Bengal, BJP is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house, holding a tally of 179, comprising 11 won and 168 leading. TMC trails with a tally of 106, from 2 won and 104 leading seats. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. Puducherry, with a majority mark of 16 in its 30-seat assembly, sees NDA holding a tally of 18, with 13 seats already won and 5 leads still active, placing it ahead of the majority threshold if those leads hold. SPA has a tally of 5, from 2 won and 3 leading. In Kerala, UDF is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 71 in the 140-seat assembly, with a tally of 87 drawn from 68 won and 19 leading. LDF trails with 30 won and 6 leading, giving it a tally of 36. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 seats in Kerala.
