Vijayawada: Samagra Shiksha state project director B Srinivasa Rao, IAS, on Monday cautioned candidates against brokers and middlemen claiming to secure jobs in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs), stating that the recruitment process is entirely merit-based and automated. The recruitment notification was recently issued for 299 contractual posts, including principals, PGTs, CRTs and PETs in KGBVs across Andhra Pradesh.Rao said selections would be made strictly based on academic merit, considering marks secured in SSC, intermediate, degree, B.Ed., post-graduation and B.P.Ed. qualifications. “There is no scope for recommendations, influence or inducements in the recruitment process,” he said.According to Samagra Shiksha, applications will be processed online, and candidates with the highest merit scores will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio for certificate verification. The verification process will be conducted transparently under the supervision of district-level committees headed by district collectors. Final selection of eligible women candidates will be based solely on software-generated merit lists and roster points, with no human intervention in merit ranking.
Officials urged candidates to report any person demanding money or promising jobs in the name of recruitment to the District Educational Officer or the Samagra Shiksha district project offices.Candidates were advised to depend only on their qualifications and merit and not fall prey to fraudulent claims or misleading promises.
