Tirupati: Tanakallu police in Sri Sathya Sai district booked a case against two persons on charges of forging health minister Satya Kumar Yadav's signatures for transfer of a staff nurse working at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Kadapa. The accused were identified as Venu and Gangadri, residents of Kadiri. Tanakallu police said Jayachandra, a computer operator working at the local mandal parishad office, was trying for the transfer of his wife Ramanamma, who works as a staff nurse at Kadapa RIMS, to somewhere near their native place. When Venu and Gangadri came to know of this, they approached Jayachandra and promised to help him with his wife's transfer by claiming that their relative Seshadri works as a personal assistant for health minister Satya Kumar. Jayachandra paid ₹1 lakh in multiple instalments for the transfer. After receiving the money, Venu and Gangadri created fake transfer orders with fake signatures of the minister and handed over the order papers to Jayachandra. When Jayachandra grew suspicious and enquired around, he came to know that no one named Seshadri works as a PA for the health minister. Realising that he was conned, he lodged a complaint, based on which the Tanakallu police registered a case against Venu and Gangadri. Both are absconding.
