AIIMS Gkp signs MoU with Indian Oil Corporation for advanced 3T MRI machine

Gorakhpur: All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Oil Corporation Limited for the installation of a state-of-the-art 3 Tesla (3T) MRI machine, giving a major boost to advanced diagnostic services in eastern Uttar Pradesh.The MoU was signed by executive director and CEO of AIIMS Gorakhpur, Maj Gen Vibha Dutta, and executive director (Coordination & CSR), Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bibhuti Ranjan Pradhan, on Tuesday.Officials said that the advanced MRI system will enhance imaging, academic and research facilities at the institute while meeting the rising demand for high-end diagnostic services.The 3T MRI machine is expected to provide superior image quality, faster scan times and improved diagnostic accuracy. It will also support advanced functional MRI applications, benefiting multiple medical specialties.Apart from strengthening patient care, the facility will contribute to medical education, interdisciplinary collaboration and research activities at the institute.-- regardsArjumand Bano
