Chatra: A 20-year-old woman, who had got married a month ago, allegedly died by suicide after an argument with her husband over golgappas late on Wednesday. The incident took place at Vidhayak Mohalla under Pratappur police station limits of the district. The deceased Naina Praveen, a resident of Bakaspura in Hazaribag district, had got married to Mohammad Gulzar barely a month back.Family members and the police said Naina and Gulzar argued over going out to eat golgappas on Wednesday. After the altercation, she allegedly went into her room and locked the door from inside. When she did not respond for a long time, family members grew suspicious and broke open the door around 11 pm, finding her hanging from a ceiling fan with a dupatta.Police reached the spot after being informed and sent the body to Chatra Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Gulzar was detained and was being questioned on Thursday. Alok Ranjan Choudhary, the officer-in-charge of Pratappur police station, said, “The matter is under investigation.
