Road rage: 2 stabbed for overtaking
New Delhi: In an apparent case of road rage in southwest Delhi's Kishangarh, two cousins were stabbed following a dispute over overtaking. Police have arrested the accused and apprehended his juvenile associate while the victims have been hospitalised.
Vikram and Ankit were attacked with a knife by the duo riding a red scooter on Oct 5 while returning after delivering flowers for the shop of Vikram's father. Police sources said a heated argument followed over overtaking and soon escalated into violence.
Both victims were immediately taken to a hospital where they are receiving treatment. A case has been registered.
DCP (southwest) Surendra Chaudhary said that after analysing footage from over 70 CCTV cameras, tracking the accused's movements and gathering local intelligence, police zeroed in on Dev and his juvenile accomplice, a 17-year-old boy.
Dev was arrested on Oct 8 and police also seized the knife and the scooter. Police found that Dev was already wanted in an attempted murder case.
