Power outage at AIESL MRO forces closure on Friday
Nagpur: A continuous power failure at the AIESL MRO facility at Mihan since around 3.30am on June 3 has disrupted operations and prompted the company to declare June 5 as an off day for staff.According to an office order issued, electricity supply had not been restored despite continuous follow-up with MADC officials. The facility has entered its second day without power supply.The company stated that operations have been sustained on DG power for the past two days. However, the backup arrangement is no longer sufficient to continue operations into the third day.AIESL said it expects power supply to resume by the end of the day on June 5. In view of the situation, all Nagpur MRO staff have been informed that Friday, June 5, will be treated as an off day, while Saturday, June 6, will be a normal working day to compensate for Friday's duty.The order further stated maintenance staff (BMD) will additionally work on Saturday and Sunday.
