Good polling in remote polling stations

Dindigul/Theni: Polling stations in the remote mountain settlements of Theni and Dindigul districts saw good turnout on Thursday.As of 3pm, polling stations located in Dindigul district, such as Velagavi, Chinnur and Periyur of Kodaikanal recorded 80%, 90% and 85% turnout respectively. All these come under Palani assembly constituency.In Theni district, 219 out of 310 votes were polled in Oothukadu station, while 44 out of 75 votes were polled in Central station in Bodinayakkanur constituency. Vellimalai estate at Varusanadu, which comes under Andipatti constituency, registered 100% polling, with all five voters casting their vote.
