Ajmer/Jaipur: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi Monday hailed the coordination between Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully, calling it a model for Congress units across the country and urging party leaders to emulate their example of collective leadership.Speaking briefly at Kishangarh Airport before attending the concluding session of the Congress’s 10-day district presidents’ training camp in Pushkar, Gandhi praised the working relationship between the two leaders. “Good. PCC and CLP are holding hands. Very good example. You’re an example for all other states,” he said. With former chief minister Ashok Gehlot and former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot also present, Gandhi’s remarks were seen as a strong message in favour of unity within the state unit.He described Dotasra and Jully as “the right combination” for Rajasthan Congress and remarked, “The duo is like Jai-Veeru. It will last long and keep the Congress strong. Everyone should learn from them. Rajasthan has given an example to other states that Congress is united and can work together. Things in Congress are going well.”Addressing district presidents from Rajasthan and Delhi later in the day, Gandhi reportedly said Rajasthan’s organisational restructuring under Dotasra’s leadership could serve as a model for Congress units elsewhere. He emphasised that district presidents would play a key role in ticket distribution and organisational strengthening.According to party sources, Gandhi said advancement in the organisation would come through sacrifice, hard work and public engagement rather than sycophancy. He urged functionaries to remain connected to grassroots workers, raise public issues and stand with the poor and marginalised. Rebuilding public trust, he said, was essential for strengthening the party and countering the BJP through issue-based politics.Gandhi also interacted with district presidents and their families and discussed organisational expansion and public outreach. After the camp, Jully said Gandhi’s endorsement was a matter of pride and pledged to carry the spirit of coordination “down to the booth level.” He added that the training camp focused on strengthening Congress ideology, organisational values and grassroots mobilisation across Rajasthan.
